Primeval Concept: Sea Serpent

I probably won't be doing a lot of these, so here's hoping for at least a couple. A large snake from the Eocene comes through an underwater anomaly in 1848 and reported by the crew of the HMS Daedalus. Several more reports indicate the beast attacking ships, probably mistaking them for prey, but it soon vanishes. In the modern day, another snake swims through an anomaly and is found to be a Palaeophis, almost 35ft long.
